I'm Dr. Louise Lambert

Many people say that happiness is pointless or even silly; yet the scientific evidence for good living is firmly on its side. From being healthier, more productive, earning more money - I hear they are also better dancers! - to being a better learner, as well as friend and partner, happiness matters to individuals and organizations alike. But don’t be fooled by the smiley faces. Happiness comes in many shapes: optimism, engagement, respect, kindness, safety, vitality, curiosity, persistence, courage, contentment, humour, altruism, belonging and more. And all are serious ideas in positive psychology, the science of wellbeing, which I’ve been studying for two decades.

Conference talks & panel moderation
Â
We are regularly asked to come and talk on a variety of subjects both directly related to happiness and wellbeing, as well as tangentially, like youth employability, happy cities, the role of art in wellbeing, cultural diplomacy and peacemaking, technology and AI in wellbeing, social impact investing, culture and wellbeing, the role of the private sector in happiness and wellbeing, our commercial life model and... Okay! You get it!
Call us to see if we can help round out your event lineup; if we can’t, we might know a smart and funny person who will.

Positive Psychology Intervention Study
Dr. Lambert's Positive Psychology Intervention Study, the first to be conducted, evaluated, and published in the UAE, was accepted for publication in the Journal of Happiness Studies! The program, delivered over several semesters to Psychology university students from over 39 nations studying in Dubai, showed sustainable improvements to the students' hedonic and eudaimonic wellbeing over a 3-month period relative to a control group. It was also able to show significant decreases in the fear of happiness and the belief that happiness is fragile, both culturally relevant variables to examine.

An introduction to the “Commercial Life” framework, informed by the science and research of positive psychology. This model targets the wellbeing of: (1) employees, (2) customers and (3) product/service design.
